Today we reviewed, discussed, and scored models of the site assessment to review expectations for writing. I'm not going to post the models, for test security reasons. However, if you were absent today and want to look at the models, see me for a pass for intervention.
If you were absent today, see me for an intervention pass to revise your site assessment.
If you were absent today, please write down any questions you had about the site assessment. You should also review the "Gift of the Magi" slides to refresh your memory on theme statements, how to write a thesis, how to select and integrate quotes, and how to analyze quotes. Ask for a pass to come in during intervention and we will talk.
You can review the Commentary vs. Concrete Detail slides here. (You must be logged into a TVUSD account to see them.) Yesterday, you presented your literary device jigsaw "pieces" to your group and took notes. Make sure you are familiar with your devices; you need to know these for literary analysis this year and in the rest of your English career!
